The most awaited Intra-Collegiate Cultural Fest, Nakshatra–2020 was held during September 28-30, 2020. As expected of these times, it was an E-event. Nevertheless, it was a star studded one. Prime credit goes to our Principal for her initiative, meticulous planning and guidance in this unique event.
Nakshatra 2020 organizers Mrs. Sreelatha, Mrs. Varada, Mr. Praveen, Sr. Kasper, Mrs.Nutan, Mrs. Padma and Mr. Das along with other teaching, non-teaching & support staff greatly contributed to the success of this fest. Our special gratitude goes to Mrs. Sreelatha who spearheaded the entire show.
Mrs. Nisha Joseph, Principal, St. Anne’s Degree College for Women, Halasuru was the Chief Guest. In her E-address, she highlighted the need for girls’ education & women empowerment. She also encouraged the participants with her inspiring speech. There were 16 events spread over 3 days. More than 250 students enthusiastically participated in the various events to make it a grand success. On September 28, we had events like Solo Dance, Fashion Show, Fancy Dress, False News Reading, Stand-up Comedy, Short Film and Mono-acting. The videos of these events were shared by the participants with the Cultural Committee In-charge Members, who then forwarded them to the Judges from various other Institutions.
On September 29, we had competitions like Art out of Waste, Pencil Sketching, Vegetable Carving, Pot Painting, Rangoli & Nail Art. In spite of Covid-19 pandemic, a large number of students participated in these events. Care was taken to see that Covid–19 norms like social distancing, wearing of masks etc. were followed. On September 30, 2020 we had competitions like Collage, Solo Singing & Mehandi, all of which were held on-line (Google Meet).
Individual Championship was won by Ms. Pallavi of II PCMC. The Overall Championship was bagged by I HEPS Combination. The fest concluded with the Valedictory Function headed by our principal Sr. Anjali.
